EDLC - Electric Double Layer Capacitors
In an EDLC, an electrolyte (solid or liquid) is filled between two electrodes and an electrical condition called "electrical double layer". This is formed between the electrodes and the electrolyte works as the dielectric. EDLC has features that are not electrochemical reaction, thus rapid electrical charge and discharge is possible and they have longer lifecycles.
