Single Pair Ethernet
Single Pair Ethernet (SPE) allows for a single open, scalable Ethernet-based network within the automation system. It standardizes the transmission of Ethernet over only one pair of copper wires. In addition to data transmission via SPE, the M8 Hybrid solution also provides power transmission over a separate wire pair.
As an enabler of IIOT it allows virtually barrier-free communication from the sensor to the cloud. It provides movement freedom to applications and makes miniaturization possible with power over data line (PoDL) and hybrid connector solutions. SPE facilitates an open ecosystem, allowing realtime and high-speed communication connections up to 1 Gb/s and cable length up to 1000 meters for 10 MB/s.
M8 Hybrid:
The M8 Hybrid solution allows for a single open, scalable Ethernet-based network within automation systems. It standardizes the transmission of Ethernet over only one pair of copper wires. In addition to data transmission via SPE, the M8 Hybrid solution also provides power transmission over a separate wire pair. Data transmission is possible up to 1 Gb/s, and power supply up to 400 W. At 10 Mb/s speed transmission distances up to 1,000 meters are possible. IP67 solution.
