SMT Microminiature Tactile Switch with Side-Actuator

The SCHURTER TCSV4 is an SMT microminiature tactile switch engineered for applications where PCB space is at a premium. With dimensions of just 4.5 × 2.25 × 2.6 mm, it is well suited for compact electronic products and portable devices.

As an edge-mount PCB component, the TCSV4 extends only 1.0 mm above the PCB, helping designers optimize enclosure space. It is available with 1.6 N or 3.2 N actuation forces and can be specified with either a standard shield or L-shaped shield to support different design requirements.

Designed for reliable long-term operation, the switch supports reflow soldering and withstands temperatures up to 260 °C for up to five seconds. The TCSV4 offers an electrical switching range of 2 to 12 VDC at 10 µA to 50 mA, a service life of 200,000 actuations, and an operating temperature range of-40 °C to +85 °C. Additional performance characteristics include IP40 protection, insulation resistance greater than 100 MΩ, and low contact resistance for dependable switching performance.
