Plasma Displays

A Plasma Display also called "Gas Discharge Display" is a type of flat panel display that uses plasma, an electrically charged ionized gas, to illuminate each pixel in order to produce a display output. It is commonly used in large TV displays of 30 inches and higher. Advantages of Plasma displays include wide viewing angles, wide color set, low luminance black level, less visible motion blur, does not require backlight, less expensive than LCD, thinner than CRT, and brighter than LCD.
