SMD Multi-layer Ceramic Capacitors

Multilayer ceramic capacitors (MLCC) are made of multiple layers of ceramic material which acts as dielectric and conductive electrodes placed one above the other. The conductive electrodes are placed between each layer of ceramic material. The surface mount versions can be mounted directly on the surface of the PCB without the need of extended contacts.
