The VLMS1500-GS08 from Vishay is a super-thin chip LED with exceptional brightness for lighting solution. It is available in EIA 0402 standard package with 1mm x 0.5mm x 0.35mm (L x W x H) dimension. This innovative ChipLED technology opens way to smaller products of higher performance and more design in flexibility. The 0402 LED is an obvious solution for small scale, high brightness products that are expected to work reliable in an arduous environment. It is used in backlight for keypads, audio and video equipment, navigation systems, cellular phone displays, backlighting in office equipment, indoor and outdoor message boards, miniaturized colour effects traffic displays, flat backlight for LCDs, switches and symbols, indicators and backlighting in telephones and fax machines.
