The Dynamic 5000 series was developed for up to 45 amperes in response to the demand for improved reliability and productivity for the main power lines in equipment.
They can be used for a variety of applications as replacements for terminal blocks, or round terminals. It is compact but with a high current capacity.
In addition, it has a wide variety of housings to cover all applications from PC board to internal wiring distributions.
The D-5000 series is right for high current power line applications where reliability cannot rest only on operator's skills.
- High Current Contact
- The D-5000 series uses the same 'twist resistant' box shape contact as the rest of the Dynamic series contacts. The material is the same copper alloy developed for the D-3000 series with its superior elasticity and conductivity, which results in a reliable, robust contact capable of high current. Silver plating is also available for high amperage applications
- The Sequential Mating means that the build up of static charge in the sequential contact is grounded first at mating. The long tab was developed for sequential connection of tab contacts. By using both this and standard tab contacts, sequential connectability is enhanced
- Tines (leads) for High Amperage
- The tines (leads) for on-board mounting are a newly developed twin-lead type. It is possible to reliably join patterns and connectors because a wide area of PCBs can be allocated. New V shape tines (leads) were developed for mounting on boards
