Solderless LED Socket, Type BR is a quick termination connector system for use with the Bridgelux RS LED. The one piece connector assembly features the poke-in wire termination to wire types ranging from 18 - 22 AWG wire. Termination to the Bridgelux RS LED is simplified with locating features that properly position the LED into the socket prior to mounting the full assembly onto the heat sink with four screws. To further enhance integration capabilities, the socket is designed to accept the commercially available LEDIL Britney Series Optics. Alternatively, ample space is available to allow for the use of other custom optical solutions.

Solderless LED Socket, Type BR eliminates the need to design, manufacture and integrate a complex metal clad printed circuit board assembly into the lighting fixture. The ability to easily position and assemble the LED anywhere in a fixture using simple hand tools provides the fixture designer with a broad range of novel integration possibilities.

  • 18 - 22 AWG solid wires
  • 18 - 20 AWG pre-bond wires
  • 18 AWG stranded wire
• Cleared area designated for reflector mounting
• LED retained in housing with slight press-fit (LED not included)
• Four screw attachment using M3 or #4 screws
• Integrated features for polarization on heat sink
• Features molded in to provide wire strain relief
