The SSMA series was designed to a size compatible with smaller diameter semi-rigid cable. The coupling thread is 10-36 UNS thread. The standard SSMA series allows operation to 38.0 GHz. The extended frequency SSMA series allows high order mode free operation beyond 40.0 GHz. The extended frequency series directly mates with the standard SSMA series with minimum discontinuity.
