The Epcos B722 StandarD series are round shaped radial leaded, SIOV metal oxide varistors. These varistors have wide operating voltage range from 11VRMS to 1100VRMS. B722 series varistors are used as control or compensation elements in circuits either to provide optimal operating conditions or to protect against excessive transient voltages. The voltage dependent characteristics enable these varistors to protect against high transient voltage spikes.

- Wide operating voltage range 11 to 1100 VRMS
- High surge current ratings up to 8 kA
- No derating up to 85 °C ambient temperature
- Peak energy range from 0.3J to 410J
