LD2981ABM50TR is an ultra low-drop voltage regulator with inhibit. It is a 100mA fixed-output voltage regulator. The low-drop voltage and the ultra-low quiescent current make it suitable for low-noise, low-power applications, and in battery-powered systems. The quiescent current in sleep mode is less than 1µA when the INHIBIT pin is pulled low. This means that when the device is used as a local regulator, it is possible to put a part of the board on standby, decreasing the total power consumption. It is designed to work with a low ESR ceramic capacitor. Typical applications are in cellular phones, palmtop/laptop computers, personal digital assistants (PDA), personal stereos, camcorders, and cameras.
