The HIN232CBZ is a RS-232 Transmitter/Receiver Interface Circuit meets all ElA RS-232E and V.28 specifications and is particularly suited for those applications where ±12V is not available. It requires a single 5V power supply and features onboard charge pump voltage converters which generate 10 and -10V supplies from the 5V supply. It offers a wide variety of RS-232 transmitter/receiver combinations to accommodate various applications. The driver features true TTL/CMOS input compatibility, slew-rate-limited output and 300W power-OFF source impedance. The receiver can handle up to ±30V and has 3 to 7kW input impedance. The receiver also features hysteresis to greatly improve noise rejection.
