B5W-DB11A1-A-1 is a new iteration of the long distance diffuse reflective sensor with variable sensing distance. This sensor expands the current B5W sensor lineup, offering a variable sensing distance version capable of detecting objects up to over half a meter away. The B5W sensor has been a key component for object detection applications and touchless switches. The latest version of this product expands the distance capabilities of this sensor, increasing the sensing distance to up to 550mm and adds a variable distance feature. This sensor is produced with space constraints in mind, keeping the smaller package size from the previous super-miniature B5W-LB release. This sensor also operates the same as the previous iterations of the B5W object detection sensors, meaning it will be able to detect a wide range of objects, no matter the colour, reflectiveness, or transparency. Used in non-contact applications (hand and body detection), laboratories (detection of clear glassworks).
