Freescale’s MMA26xxW and MMA26xxNWR2 inertial satellite sensors are positioned around the car for front and side crash detection. The MMA26xxW and MMA26xxNW accelerometers are designed to support the DSI communication protocol. Freescale is the only supplier with an x-axis over-damped inertial satellite sensor housed in a QFN package, thus providing a smaller footprint and more flexibility for module orientation in vehicles. Freescale MMA26xxW and MMA26xxNWR2 sensors are SafeAssure functional safety solutions.

  • Selectable 180 Hz two-pole, 400 Hz four-pole or 800 Hz four-pole LPF

  • 16 µs internal sample rate with interpolation to 1 ms
  • -40°C to 125°C operating temperature range
  • Pb-free 16-pin QFN-6 x 6 package
