MPQ7230 is a fixed-frequency, constant current, synchronous buck-boost LED driver with integrated power MOSFETs. The device offers a very compact solution to achieve 1.2A of continuous output current, with excellent load and line regulation across a wide input supply range. The MPQ7230 can also be configured to buck mode to provide up to 3A of constant load current. The MPQ7230 can support PWM dimming frequencies as low as 10Hz to adjust infrared radiation (IR) in LED driver applications. It is also compatible with 30FPS, 60FPS, and 120FPS dimming. Constant frequency hysteretic control mode provides extremely fast transient response without loop compensation. The MPQ7230 requires a minimal number of readily available, standard external components. It is available in a space-saving QFN-19 (3mmx4mm) package. Applications include infrared (IR) LED drivers for driver, monitoring systems (DMS), infrared (IR) illumination for automotive cameras and surveillance systems.
