MIC5504-1.8YM5-TR is an advanced general-purpose LDO ideal for powering portable devices. This LDO includes an auto-discharge feature on the output that activates when the enable pin is low. It also has an internal pull-down resistor on the enable pin, which disables the output when the enable pin is left floating. This device is ideal for applications where the control signal floats during processor boot-up. Applications include smartphones, DSCs, GPS devices, PMPs, PDAs, medical devices, portable electronics, and 5V systems.

• Input voltage range from 2.5V to 5.5V, stable with 1µF ceramic output capacitors
• 300mA ensured output current, output voltage accuracy is 2% maximum
• Dropout voltage is 160mV typical at (IOUT = 300mA, TJ = +25°C)
• Output discharge circuit, internal enable pull-down, 1.8V voltage
• Thermal-shutdown and current-limit protection
