TDA38840AUMA1 is an OptiMOS™ IPOL easy-to-use, fully integrated DC-DC buck regulator. The onboard PWM controller and OptiMOS™ FETs with integrated bootstrap diode make the device a small-footprint solution, providing high-efficiency power delivery. Furthermore, it uses a fast constant on-time (COT) control scheme, which simplifies design efforts and achieves fast control response. It has an internal low dropout voltage regulator, allowing operation with a single supply. It can also operate with an external bias supply, with an extended operating input voltage (PVin) range from 2V to 17V. It is a versatile regulator, offering programmable switching frequency from 600KHz to 2MHz, four selectable current limits, four selectable soft-start times, forced continuous conduction mode (FCCM), and diode emulation mode (DEM) operation. It is used in applications such as server applications, storage applications, telecom and datacom applications, and distributed point of load power architectures.
