ICE5BR2280BZ is the fifth-generation of fixed-frequency integrated power IC (CoolSET™) optimized for offline switch-mode power supplies in cascode configuration. The CoolSET™ package contains two separate chips. One is the controller chip and the other is the CoolMOS™ chip. The cascode configuration helps achieve fast start-up. The frequency reduction with soft gate driving and frequency jitter operation offers lower EMI and better efficiency between a light load and 50% load. This has a wide operating range (10V to 25.5V) of IC power supply and lower power consumption. The numerous protection functions support the power supply system in failure situations. All these make the fifth-generation CoolSET™ series an outstanding integrated power stage fixed frequency flyback and buck converter in the market. Potential applications are auxiliary power supply for home appliances, white goods, TV, PC and server, smart metering, Blu-ray players, set-top boxes, and LCD/LED monitors.
