BTN8962TAAUMA1 is a NovalithIC™ integrated high current PN half bridge for motor drive applications. It contains one p-channel high-side MOSFET and one n-channel low-side MOSFET with an integrated driver IC in one package. Due to the p-channel high-side switch, the need for a charge pump is eliminated thus minimizing EMI. Interfacing to a microcontroller is made easy by the integrated driver IC which features logic level inputs, diagnosis with current sense, slew rate adjustment, dead time generation and protection against overtemperature, undervoltage, overcurrent and short circuit. It provides a cost-optimized solution for protected high-current PWM motor drives with very low board space consumption.

• ON state high side resistance is 13.4mohm max (Tj=25°C, VS=8V to 18V), operation up to 40V
• ON state low side resistance is 16.9mohm max (Tj=25°C), adjustable slew rates for optimized EMI
• Enhanced switching speed for reduced switching losses, driver circuit with logic level inputs
• Capable for high PWM frequency combined with active freewheeling, undervoltage shut down
• Quiescent current is 7µA typ (VINH=0V, VIN=0V or 5V, Tj 85°C)
• Switched mode current limitation for reduced power dissipation in overcurrent
• Supply current is 2.2mA typ (VINH=5V, RSR=0 ohm, DC-mode normal operation, Tj=-40 to +150°C)
• Status flag diagnosis with current sense capability, overtemperature shut down with latch behaviour
• PG-TO263-7-1 package, junction temperature range from -40 to 150°C
