74LVC245AT20-13 is an octal transceiver designed for asynchronous communication between data buses. The device transmits data from the A bus to the B bus or from the B bus to the A bus, depending on the logic level at the direction-control (DIR) input. The output-enable (active low) (OE) pin can be used to disable the device so the buses effectively are isolated. The inputs are tolerant to 5.5V allowing this device to be used in a mixed voltage environment. The device is fully specified for partial power down applications using IOFF. The IOFF circuitry disables the output preventing damaging current backflow when the device is powered down. Typical applications include general purpose logic, bus driving, power down signal isolation and wide array of products such as PCs, notebooks, netbooks, ultrabooks, networking computer peripherals, hard drives, CD/DVD ROM, TV, DVD, DVR, Set Top Box.
