INTERBUS-S, a special open Sensor/Actuator Bus, is fi nding a broad acceptance in the factory automation industry. The HFBR-1505CFZ and HFBR-2505CFZ were specially designed for this application and can be used with 1 mm POF and 200 µm HCS fi ber at the specifi ed data rates of 500 kBd and 2 MBd. The optical transmission guideline is a supplement of the German National DIN E 19258 standard draft. On the European level, prEN 50254 is the draft of the INTERBUS-S fi eldbus.
