These units are single, dual, and quad channel, hermeticallysealed optocoup lers. The products are capable ofoperation and storage over the full military temperaturerange and can be purchased as either standard productor with full MIL-PRF-38534 Class Level H or K testing orfrom the appro priate DLA Drawing. All devices are manufacturedand tested on a MIL-PRF-38534 certifi ed lineand are included in the DLA Quali fi ed Manufacturers ListQML-38534 for Hybrid Microcircuits.Each channel contains a GaAsP light emitting diode whichis optically coupled to an integrated high gain photondetector. The high gain output stage features an opencollector output providing both lower saturation voltageand higher signaling speed than possible with conventionalphoto-Darling ton optocouplers. The shallow depthand small junctions off ered by the IC process providesbetter radiation immunity than conven tional photo transistoroptocouplers.The supply voltage can be operated as low as 2.0 V withoutadversely aff ecting the parametric performance.These devices have a 300% minimum CTR at an inputcurrent of only 0.5 mA making them ideal for use in lowinput current applications such as MOS, CMOS, low powerlogic interfaces or line receivers. Compatibility with highvoltage CMOS logic systems is assured by specifying ICCHand IOH at 18 Volts.
