The HCPL-261A family of optically coupled gates provide all the benefits of the industrystandard 6N137 family with the added benefitof HCMOS compatible input current. This allows directinterface to all common circuit topologies withoutadditional LED buffer or drive components. The AlGaAsLED used allows lower drive currents and reducesdegradation by using the latest LED technology. Onthe single channel parts, an enable output allows the detectorto be strobed. The output of the detector IC is anopen collector schottky-clamped transistor. The internalshield provides a minimum common mode transient immunityof 1000V/µs for the HCPL-261A family and 15000V/µs for the HCPL-261N family.
