The 3.3 V HCMS-39xx family is similar to the 5.0 VHCMS-29xx family, except it operates at a loweroperating voltage. Package dimen sions and pin outsare exactly the same for both families. The product hasbeen thoroughly characterized and stringent reliabilitytested to ensure that the product is of high quality.Similar to the 5.0 V platform, this family product isa high per formance, easy to use dot matrix displaydriven by on-board CMOS IC. Each display can bedirectly interfaced with a micro processor, thuseliminating the need for cumbersome interface components.The serial IC interface allows higher charactercount information displays with a minimum of datalines. The easy to read 5x7 pixel format allows thedisplay of upper case, lower case, Katakana, and customuser-defined characters. These displays are stackablein the x- and y-directions, making them ideal for highcharacter count displays.
