ACPL-W454-500E

The ACPL-W454 is similar to Avago Technologiesother high speed transistor output optocouplers, but withshorter propagation delays and higher CTR. The ACPLW454/P454also has a guaranteed propagation delaydifference (tPLH - tPHL). These features make the ACPLW454/P454an excellent solution to IPM inverter dead timeand other switching problems.The ACPL-W454/P454 CTR, propagation delays, and CMRare specified both for TTL load and drive conditions and forIPM (Intelligent Power Module) load and drive conditions.Specifications and typical performance plots for both TTLand IPM conditions are provided for ease of application.This diode-transistor optocoupler uses an insulating layerbetween the light emitting diode and an integrated photodetector to provide electrical insulation between inputand output. Separate connections for the photodiode biasand output transistor collector increase the speed up to ahundred times over that of a conventional phototransistorcoupler by reducing the base-collector capacitance
