The ACPL-K30T-500E is a 1-channel 8-pin surface-mount photovoltaic MOSFET Driver with R²Coupler™ isolation. It is specially designed to drive high-voltage MOSFETs. It consists of an AlGaAs infrared light-emitting diode (LED) input stage optically coupled to an output detector circuit. The detector consists of a high-speed photovoltaic diode array and a turn-off circuit. The photovoltaic driver is turned on (contact closes) with a minimum input current of 5mA through the input LED. The relay driver is turned-OFF (contact opens) with an input voltage of 0.8V or less. Avago R²Coupler isolation products provide reinforced insulation and reliability that delivers safe signal isolation critical in high-temperature industrial applications. It is suitable for battery insulation resistance measurement/leakage detection, BMS flying capacitor topology for sensing batteries and solid state relay module.
