The ACPL-330J is an advanced 1.5 A output current, easyto-use,intelligent gate driver which makes IGBT VCE faultprotection compact, affordable, and easy-to implement.Features such as integrated VCE detection, undervoltage lockout (UVLO), “soft” IGBT turn-off, isolatedopen collector fault feedback and active Miller clampingprovide maximum design flexibility and circuit protection.The ACPL-330J contains a AlGaAs LED. The LED isoptically coupled to an integrated circuit with a poweroutput stage. ACPL-330J is ideally suited for drivingpower IGBTs and MOSFETs used in motor control inverterapplications. The voltage and current supplied by theseoptocouplers make them ideally suited for directlydriving IGBTs with ratings up to 1200 V and 100 A. ForIGBTs with higher ratings, the ACPL-330J can be used todrive a discrete power stage which drives the IGBT gate.The ACPL-330J has an insulation voltage of VIORM = 1414VPEAK.
