The Avago ultra low power ACPL-x6xL digital optocouplerscombine an AlGaAs light emitting diode (LED) and anintegrated high gain photodetector. The optocouplerconsumes extremely low power, at maximum 1.3mA IDDcurrent per channel across temperature. With a forwardLED current as low as 1.6 mA most microprocessors candirectly drive the LED.An internal Faraday shield provides a guaranteed commonmode transient immunity specification of 20 kV/µs.Maximum AC and DC circuit isolation is achieved whilemaintaining TTL/CMOS compatibility.The optocouplers CMOS outputs are slew-rate controlledand is designed to allow the rise and fall time to be controlledover a wide load capacitance range.The ACPL-x6xL series operates from both 3.3 V and 5 Vsupply voltages with guaranteed AC and DC performancefrom –40°C to +105°C.These low-power optocouplers are suitable for high speedlogic interface applications.
