RZ/G2L and RZ/G2LC integrate the functions required for HMI equipment development in a single chip and are the first in the RZ family to feature the Cortex-A55 core to meet the latest customer needs, including AI processing. In addition to improved performance, RZ/G2L can contribute to reduce the system BOM cost of customers by incorporating sub-MCUs for real-time processing and ADCs that used to be placed as external components. An evaluation kit consists of a SOM supporting the SMARC form factor and a carrier board that can efficiently evaluate the functions of RZ/G2L and RZ/G2LC. By adopting the SMARC form factor for the evaluation board, customers can quickly set-up a prototype or POC (proof of concept) environment. In addition, the same form factor will be used in the upcoming RZ/G2UL and RZ/V2L, enabling seamless evaluation with the new products.
