In today world where Artificial Intelligence and Autonomous Vehicles are getting more popular, safety is more paramount. Switches used in these vehicles must be reliable and accurately detect the correct status. For example, a switch must correctly detect whether the door is open or close and not be marred by faulty switch problem. Normal switch cannot distinguish if a switch is open or a switch’s contacts are contaminated. Similarly, a normal switch cannot distinguish if switch is closed or if the switch’s contacts are welded.
