21-bit Magnetic Angle Encoder: MT6835
For various application scenarios with high-speed and high-precision control requirements, such as closed-loop stepper motor control, 2500-line servo and 17-bit absolute servo motor control.

The MT6835 chip is a magnetic angle encoder IC, based on anisotropic magnetoresistive (AMR) technology and proprietary signal processing technology to achieve absolute angle measurement of 0°~360°.
The chip consists of a pair of AMR Wheatstone bridges and signal processing ASIC circuits. With the rotation of the magnetic field parallel to the surface of the chip, the chip can output angular signals such as ABZ/UVW, PWM, etc., and the user can also read the 21-bit absolute angle data inside the chip through the SPI interface that supports up to 16MHz clock. It supports speeds up to 120,000 rpm. The MT6835 chip can be applied to various application scenarios with high-speed and high-precision control requirements, such as closed-loop stepper motor control, 2500-line servo and 17-bit absolute servo motor control.
The MT6835 is a next-generation high-speed, high-precision angle encoder chip based on advanced Anisotropic Magnetoresistive (AMR) technology. It integrates sensitive elements consisting of two pairs of AMR Wheatstone bridges arranged at a 45° angle, together with a high-performance dedicated signal processing circuit.
Since AMR devices operate in the saturation region (saturation magnetic field of 300 Gauss) when used in angle measurement applications, the chip only responds to changes in the magnetic field direction parallel to the chip surface, and is independent of the magnetic field strength. As a result, the MT6835 imposes relatively low requirements on magnet machining tolerances and the installation distance between the magnet and the chip.
The MT6835 provides incremental ABZ output interfaces as a substitute for traditional optical encoders, with a maximum incremental resolution of 4096 pulses/rev or 16,384 steps/rev. It also offers incremental UVW output, supporting resolutions of 1–16 pole pairs/rev. In addition, the MT6835 features a 4-wire SPI interface for the host system or MCU to read the internal 21-bit absolute angle value. A single-wire PWM output is also available, providing 12-bit resolution absolute angle data.
A key performance enhancement of the MT6835 lies in its user-friendly self-calibration mode. This mode compensates for nonlinearities caused by imperfect magnets or structural installation deviations, thereby significantly improving INL characteristics.
