nPM1304 Power Management IC

Highly integrated PMIC (Power Management IC) for small size battery applications with system management features and precision battery fuel gauging

The nPM1304 is a highly integrated power management IC (PMIC) that simplifies system design by integrating essential functions required for embedded designs into one small package, enabling longer run times and efficient battery charging with fewer components. The nPM1304 builds on the nPM1300 platform and is optimized for small batteries by supporting lower charge currents and higher termination voltages.

The nPM1304 is optimized for maximum efficiency and compact size and is configurable through an I2C-compatible Two Wire Interface (TWI). This interface enables easy access and configuration of a range of advanced system management functions, including integrated hard reset functionality for one or two buttons, accurate battery fuel gauging, system-level watchdog, power loss warning, and recovery from failed boot.

These functions are typically implemented as discrete components in embedded designs, but the nPM1304 integrates them into a single, compact package, simplifying system design and reducing the number of required components.

The nPM1304 manages the power supply for Nordic’s ultra-low power nRF52, nRF53,and nRF54 Series wireless Systems-on-Chip (SoCs), and other microcontrollers (MCUs),It is ideal for small and advanced IoT products such as smart rings, stylus pens,biosensors and sports performance trackers.
