Abracon’s W-Series family of quartz crystals is engineered to overcome these output drive challenges for micro power applications by providing lower Cl and lower ESR. These optimized crystals ensure the crystal oscillator design retains enough margin to operate over temperature and across all process and voltage corners.

These miniature quartz crystals work well in space-constrained IoT and IoMTapplications like CGM, medical wearables,Hearing Aids,Medical Patch and others. They can be used in smart home and security devices used for remote surveillance and monitoring like portable security systems, smart locks and cameras.

What makes the IoT tick? Abracon’s W Series crystals offer low ESR and Co specifications in
combination with low CL options to address energy-saving MCU and portable communication chipset market trends. In the race to decrease power consumption, many on-chip oscillators are starved of output drive and often cannot sustain oscillation using standard quartz crystals with higher ESR, Co, and CL specifications. Abracon’s W Series of quartz crystals engineered for micro power applications overcome these challenges.

Abracon’s ABMxW (MHz) and ABSxW (kHz) quartz crystal series offer a unique combination of low equivalent series resistance (ESR) and low load plating capacitance (CL) that is ideal for green and energy-saving MCUs and portable communications chipsets.

The ABMxW and ABSxW series are offered in a variety of package, stability and tolerance options down to +/-10ppm. A full operating temperature range from -40℃ to 125℃ makes these crystals suitable for both consumer and industrial designs.

Abracon’s ABMxW MHz quartz crystals have CL values in the range of 4pF to 8pF. Special electrode plate designs enable the W-Series to have a lower Co Shunt capacitance value. The specified resonate frequencies of these devices are available in the range of 10MHz to 80MHz. The MHz devices include the ABM13W, ABM12W, ABM11W, ABM10W, and ABM8W series.
