HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface) is a digital interface for transmitting high-quality and high-bandwidth streams of audio and video data between devices over a single cable. While other types of A/V connections require separate cables for audio and video data, HDMI carries the audio and video streams together, greatly eliminating cable clutter.
