Smart factory automation demo system
This Smart Factory Automation Demo System contains with a PLC (Programable Logic Controller) plus an HMI (Human Machine Interface), an IO-Link Master with EtherCAT and 8 IO-Link Devices including 8-ch DI & 8-ch DO, Temperature Sensor, TOF Distance Measurement Sensor, 4-ch Low-Side Driver for Tower Light, 32-ch High-Side Driver for Air Solenoid Valve, and a customer’s RFID reader/writer etc.
2 traditional ON/OFF switch type Sensors and 2 Run/Stop Push Buttons were added to the 8-ch DI. The systems also includes a remote-control Robotic Arm, with Proximity Sensor for human proximity sensing. With the PLC, we use the IO-Link Digital Inputs and Sensors, to control the related Digital Outputs and actuators, the HMI displays the IO Status, Actuators working status and Sensor Values.
We can also use the use Push Button to start the Robotic Arm’s programmed actions or stop it with the human proximity sensing. When people is approaching to the Robotic Arm, the PLC can send command to Robotic Arm to force stop actions immediately, after people move away, then the Robotic Arm receives command to resume action again, this is safety function to protect the operators around it.
