Power Multiplexer Circuit

Using Common-Drain MOSFET

Toshiba TCR1HF18B, TCR1HF33B, and TCR1HF50B

Power Multiplexer Reference Design Circuit that can be used in Application such as Energy-Efficient Computing

The Power Multiplexer Reference Design can be use for the new compute technologies, such as optical, neuromorphic and novel accelerators, will emerge for special purpose compute-intensive applications such as AI training and optimization.

This power multiplexer circuit with 2 inputs and 1 output is realized on a small board. A new power multiplexer circuit usign common-drain MOSFET has been added to the already developed power multiplexer circuit reference design. These reference circuits allow switching between BBM and MBB modes by combining optimal devices such as MOSFET gate driver ICs and zener diodes from our diverse product lineup.

Features

  • 2 × 2 cm small board mounted, 2 input 1 output power multiplexer circuit
  • Uses common-drain MOSFET (SSM10N961L)
  • Switches between 20 V and 9 V inputs, and output current is 3 A (Max.)
  • Supports switching of various power supply systems such as USB power delivery, fast charging, and wireless power supply
  • MBB (Make-Before-Break), BBM (Break-Before-Make) operation switchable

Application

Edge AI, high energy efficient power management
