VEML7700-TR

VEML7700-TR is a high-accuracy ambient light digital 16bit resolution sensor. It includes a highly sensitive photodiode, a low noise amplifier, a 16bit A/D converter and supports an easy-to-use I²C bus communication interface. The application includes an ambient light sensor for backlight dimming of e.g. TV displays, smart phones, touch phones, PDA, GPS, ambient light sensor for industrial on/off-lighting operation, optical switch for consumer, computing, and industrial devices and displays.

• 2.5V to 3.6V operating voltage, 1.7 to 3.6V I²C voltage range
• 0 to 167000 ambient light range, 0.005 ambient light resolution
• Integrated modules: ambient light sensor (ALS), communication via I²C interface
• Low shut down current consumption is 0.5µA typical, excellent temperature compensation
• High dynamic detection resolution, software shutdown mode control
• 100Hz and 120Hz flicker noise rejection
• Filtron™ technology adaption: close to real human eye response
• I²C clock rate range from 10 to 400KHz
• Digital current out (low, current sink) is 3mA minimum at (Tamb = 25°C)
