NCV78M05ABDTRKG is an NCV78M00A series positive voltage regulator that is identical to the popular device, except that this is specified for only half the output current. It is a three-terminal regulator is intended for local, on-card voltage regulation. Internal current limiting, thermal shutdown circuitry and safe-area compensation for the internal pass transistor combine to make this device remarkably rugged under most operating conditions. The maximum output current, with adequate heatsinking is 500mA.

- AEC-Q100 qualified and PPAP capable
- Input voltage is 35VDC (5.0V to 18V, TA = 25°C)
- Output voltage is 5.0VDC typ (TJ = 25°C)
- Line regulation is 3.0mV typ (TJ = 25°C, 7.0Vdc = VI = 25Vdc, IO = 200mA)
- Load regulation is 20mV typ (TJ = 25°C, 5.0mA = IO = 500mA)
- Input bias current is 3.2mA typ (TJ = 25°C)
- Quiescent current change is 0.8mA max (8.0VDC = VI = 25VDC, IO = 200mA)
- DPAK-3 package, temperature range from -40° to +125°C
