FODM214R2 is a FODM214 series single channel, AC/DC sensing input, phototransistor optocoupler. It consists of two gallium arsenide infrared emitting diodes connected in inverse parallel for AC operation. It is built in a compact, half-pitch, mini-flat, 4-pin package. The lead pitch is 1.27mm. Typical applications are primarily suited for DC-DC converters, ground loop isolation, signal-to-noise isolation, communications – adapters, chargers, consumer – appliances, set-top boxes, industrial – power supplies, motor control, and programmable logic control. Safety and regulatory approvals are UL1577, 3750 VACRMS for 1 min, DIN EN/IEC60747-5-5, 565V peak working insulation voltage.

  • Current transfer ratio ranges from 20 to 400% at IF = ±1mA, VCE = 5V, TA = 25°C
  • Forward voltage is 1.2V typical at F = ±20mA, TA = 25°C
  • Terminal capacitance is 30pF typical at V = 0V, f = 1KHz, TA = 25°C
  • Turn on/off time is 3µs typical at IC = 2mA, VCE = 10V, RL = 100 ohm, TA = 25°C
  • Isolation resistance is 5 x 10^10 ohm at VI-O = 500V
  • Operating temperature range from -55 to +110°C
