In order to deliver better performance with power efficiency, the SmartEdge Industrial IoT Gateway is based on the popular Raspberry Pi Broadcom BCM2837 SOC, a 64-bit quad-core ARM Cortex-A53. The gateway also comes with on-board 8GM eMMC flash to make it more robust for an industrial volatile environment. In order to ensure that it is able to ensure comprehensive end-to-end security protection, the gateway comes with on-board Trusted Platform Module (TPM2.0) to safeguard data transmission securely from edge devices to Avnet's IoTConnect Cloud solution (Microsoft Azure certified). On top of these key features, Avnet's SmartEdge Industrial IoT Gateway is able to provide reliable industrial connectivity through all necessary industrial interfaces which allow the gateway to communicate between sensors directly to the cloud server.
