The RA2E3 is the newest entry line group in the RA family, a single-chip microcontroller based on the 48-MHz Arm® Cortex®-M23 core with up to 64kB code flash and 16kB SRAM memory. RA2E3 provides an optimized feature set for energy and cost-sensitive applications by supporting pin-to-pin and peripheral compatibility with RA2E1. RA2E3 is feature-optimized version of RA2E1 by reducing ROM size (from 128kB(max) to 64kB(max)) and Data flash (from 4kB to 2kB), as well as removing functionalities of Cap touch, Comparator, and AES, TRNG hardware accelerator. Package option supports 32-pin and 48-pin with QFP and QFN package.
In addition a wide range of scalability manifests itself in optimum flexibility for the MCU SW and HW designers when needing extra I/O lines or additional peripheral functions. All customers have got to do is migrate to the next pin count size to gain extra I/O lines and functionality.
