6.6KW SiC high power density bi-directional DC-DC solution

Description - 202405S1

In the domain of power conversion systems (PCS), the quest for efficiency and power density reigns supreme. The emergence of silicon carbide (SiC) technology has marked a significant milestone in this pursuit, offering solutions that elevate performance to unprecedented levels. One such ground-breaking innovation is Avnet’s 6.6KW SiC High Power Density Bidirectional DC-DC Solution.

At its core, this solution embodies the essence of efficiency and versatility through its bi-directional DC/DC architecture based on the CLLC (Capacitor-Inductor-Inductor-Capacitor) topology. This architecture facilitates seamless, rapid bi-directional energy transfer between energy storage and power supply systems. Essentially, the utilization of Infineon's CoolSiC™ technology significantly enhances these capabilities, substantially improving both power density and efficiency within the system.

Driving the digital prowess of this solution is Infineon’s XMC™ 4400 ARM Cortex-M microcontroller, which serves as the brain behind its operation. With its integration of a diverse array of peripheral functions tailored for digital power applications, the XMC™ 4400 empowers the system with unparalleled control and adaptability.
