Following the switch towards hybrid and electric vehicles, vehicle manufacturers remain divided when it comes to on board and off board chargers; looking for the middle ground between faster charging, battery health and space. 

Avnet offers the best of both worlds with the new 600W / 2000W Off-Board Electric Vehicle Charger with constant output voltage and current control feedback, this charger relies on a front end PFC (power factor correction) and isolated LLC (inductor-inductor-capacitor) topology to optimize efficiency and offer greater regulation for 72V and 48V batteries.

The 600W / 2000W charger and converter also features analog components such as, a precision operation amplifier to control the output constant voltage and constant current for the charger application, an adjustable shunt voltage reference in the output side of the charger in the event of over voltage and an operation amplifier to protect the PFC MOSFET from over current. In addition, the charger also contains a dimming interface IC used to input under and over voltage protection.
