Murata Ceramic Capacitor GRM Series (GRM188D72A105KE01, GRM21BC72A105KE01, GRM21BD72A225KE01, GRM31CC72A475KE11, GRM32EC72A106KE05) were developed for use in 48 V power supply lines in base stations, servers, and data centers. GRM Series have the feature of  large-capacity and small size.

With the increasing adoption of 5G technology, mobile data traffic is projected to increase , requiring base station infrastructure to become smaller in size, more lightweight, and lower in power consumption in order to expand 5G network coverage. The number of circuit board components also continues to increase with the rise in multiple output power supply use, creating demand for device sizes to be maintained or made smaller and making it increasingly important for circuit boards to have higher component densities.

Murata’s proprietary thin layer technology has allowed for these series of product to be smaller in volume and area. This will allow the capacitor to take up less space on the circuit board.
