A phone connector is an electrical connector used for analog audio signals. A TRS or Tip Ring Sleeve connector has three conductors and can be used with mono balanced connections and stereo unbalanced connections at microphone level, line level or speaker level. A TRRS or Tip Ring, Ring Sleeve connector has four conductors and can be used with stereo unbalanced audio with video or with stereo unbalanced audio plus a mono microphone conductor.
