LAPIS(ROHM GROUP) offers Bluetooth low energy single mode wireless communication modules "MK715XX Series"for Bluetooth 5

LAPIS Technology's ""MK71511 (A)"" and ""MK71521 (A)"" are Bluetooth low energy single mode wireless communication modules for Bluetooth 5.
"MK71511 (A)" has Nordic's nRF52811, and "MK71521 (A)" has Nordic's nRF52832.
These products is an all-in-one module with all built-in peripheral circuits including an antenna. It has been certified for radio waves in Japan, the United States, and Canada, and has passed the latest EN 300 328 V2.2.2 wireless test for Europe.


Features

  • The ""MK71511 (A)"" and ""MK71521 (A)"" support 2 Mbps high-speed transmission, which is a feature of the Bluetooth 5 standard, and comunication data capacity increase (extended advertisement). It can handle data communication in half time and up to 8 times more communication data that of conventional Bluetooth 4
  • "MK71511 (A)" has a long-range transmission function, and since the communication distance is expanded to 4 times that of conventional Bluetooth 4, it is most suitable for indoor and outdoor applications. Furthermore, since it has a direction-finding function, it can also be applied to indoor location information services that can identify the location with high accuracy.
  • "MK71521 (A)" has 512KB of large-capacity flash memory for storing programs, so it is most suitable for building a mesh network using Bluetooth and developing various applications. In addition, these two products can be easily replaced with the same shape and pin compatibility and can be mounted on an inexpensive 2-layer board, which also contributes to manufacturing cost reduction.
