In order to deliver better performance with power efficiency, the SmartEdge Industrial IoT Gateway is based on the popular Raspberry Pi Broadcom BCM2837 SOC, a 64-bit quad-core ARM Cortex-A53. The gateway also comes with on-board 8GM eMMC flash to make it more robust for an industrial volatile environment. In order to ensure that it is able to ensure comprehensive end-to-end security protection, the gateway comes with on-board Trusted Platform Module (TPM2.0) to safeguard data transmission securely from edge devices to Avnet's IoTConnect Cloud solution (Microsoft Azure certified).
