Stewart Connector single and multiport SFP+ cages are designed to meet the requirements for small form factor industry standards. Stewart’s SFP+ cage offering is the next step in supporting the growing demand for I/O solutions in both fibre channels and Ethernet applications, where improved performance is necessary with increasing data rates. Supports 8Gbps fibre channels and 10Gbps Ethernet.

 

Features

  • Fully compatible with SFP+ interfaces and backwards compatible mechanically with SFP
  • SFP+ single and multiport configurations available in press-fit and PCI (1°) versions to accommodate various board thicknesses and assembly processes
  • All SFP+ cages have 360° gaskets, spring finger and multiple ground-pin locations to increase the EMI shielding in various applications
  • Belly to Belly mounting is capable on single and ganged cages to ensure effective utilization of PCB real estate
  • Improved thermal management in higher wattage transceiver applications due to Heat Sinks mounted to various single and ganged configurations
  • Light Pipes available for all configurations to provide a “link” or “no link” status using LEDs mounted on the PCB
  • Press-Fit mounting options eliminate termination to PCB though soldering, lowering the applied cost and avoid solder related issues
  • Compliant with industry standards SFF-8432, SFF-8083, and SFF-8431
