Murata has introduced MYSGK02506BRSR DC-DC converter, the latest addition to its MonoBlock point-of-load (POL) product lineup

Murata Power Solutions MYSGK02506BRSR DC-DC Converter

Murata debuted the latest addition to its MonoBlock type point-of-load (POL) product lineup, expanding input/output range while reducing the mounting area by 50 percent compared to Murata’s conventional models. The new MYSGK02506BRSR DC-DC converter delivers superior heat dissipation in a small form factor, while optimizing components in a module and enabling high current density. Production of this converter will be begin in December 2017.

The input voltage range has been expanded from 13.5v to 42v, while the stable output range increased from 5v to 25v and a maximum output current of 6A. Murata has not only broadened the input/output range but also reduced the size of the MYSGK02506BRSR to a very small resin mold package (14.7 x 16.3 x 7.5mm), helping equipment manufacturers add more functionality in a thinner and smaller design footprint. The module simplifies the power supply design process and is equipped with peripheral components such as resistors and capacitors.

“The MonoBlock type POL minimizes power loss with Murata's proprietary circuit technology, while improving heat dissipation due to the new packaging capabilities,” said Shuji Mikami, Senior Manager, planning and sales promotion, Power Modules, Murata. “This technology helps us respond to the need for higher features and smaller sizes from equipment manufacturers. The MYSGK02506BRSR is the latest addition to our MonoBlock lineup that will continue to grow.
