The Intel® Quark™ microcontroller D1000 is a low-cost, extremely low-power, 32-bit microcontroller, ranking very high in computational performance. The Intel® Quark™ microcontroller D1000 can provide flexible, low power computing for a wide variety of vertical industry solutions-bringing low-cost integration and compatibility to the next-wave of intelligent connected devices.

Integrated security features:

Extends rock-solid Intel® security down to the device level to help protect your data from the edge to the datacenter. Key security features include tamper resistance, optional JTAG lockout, CRC-16 and AES-128 routines in ROM, as well as reserved flash space for UID and/or keying materials.

Power-efficient intelligence at the edge: Fine-grained power management features that enable your battery-powered and line-powered sensors to provide secure, intelligent processing at the edge for wired and wireless real-world applications.

Faster time to market: Simplifies design and reduces bill of materials (BOM) costs by minimizing external components required on the platform. Integrated analog, digital, and serial interfaces make it easier to connect to a wide range of sensors, actuators, and communications devices.

Broad software support: Development tools and sample applications provide access to internal registers, while integrated debugging capabilities expedite development and characterization of application performance. The Intel® System Studio for Microcontrollers plugs into the Eclipse* environment, the Intel® Integrated Development Environment (Intel® IDE) is custom and purpose-built, and command-line utilities provide additional flexibility for developers.

Intel® Quark™ microcontroller D2000

The Intel® Quark™ microcontroller D2000, is a low power, battery-operated, 32-bit microcontroller with a more robust instruction set than other entry-level microcontrollers. The first x86-based Intel® Quark™ microcontroller, Intel® Quark™ microcontroller D2000 also increases input/output options over other entry-level microcontrollers. Within its small footprint, the Intel® Quark™ microcontroller D2000 includes an Intel® Quark™ ultra-low-power core running at 32 MHz, with 32k integrated flash and 8k OTP SRAM.

Integrated security features: Extends excellent Intel® security down to the device level with software- and hardware-based features to help protect your data at every end point.

Intelligence at the edge: Brings intelligence to the edge for real-world applications. It is interoperable with other Intel-based systems-simplifying integration of edge products into end-to-end Internet of Things architectures.

Faster time to market: Simplifies design and reduces bill of materials (BOM) by minimizing external components required on the platform. The Intel® System Studio integrated development environment is included with all Intel® microcontrollers.

Tremendous flexibility: Provides tremendous flexibility by requiring a single DC power source with an operating range of 2.0 to 3.3 volts and supporting the serial interfaces typically seen on sensors, wireless modules, flash devices, and EEPROMs.

Intel® Quark™ SE microcontroller

The Intel® Quark™ SE microcontroller brings intelligent power to the edge by combining a microcontroller with an onboard sensor subsystem to manage power consumption through programmable wake cues. Intel® Quark™ SE microcontroller also features pattern matching technology engine that allows it to learn and differentiate. The result is always-sensing intelligence, bringing real time response down to the next generation of intelligent devices.

Neural classification engine: Includes a sophisticated neural classification engine-a “learning mechanism”-that allows the microcontroller to learn through pattern recognition and differentiate appropriate response events. Having decision-making ability at the edge can provide a more real-time response.

Internal sensor hub: Includes an internal sensor hub which manages multiple sensors, allowing it to support more peripherals. It also allows the main CPU to sleep, until the sensor controller wakes it up based on programmable cues, resulting in very low energy consumption.

Intelligence at the edge: Brings intelligence to the edge for real-world applications. It is interoperable with other Intel® based systems simplifying integration of edge products in end-to-end Internet of Things architectures. More can be handled at the device level, reducing the need for larger gateways.

Faster time to market: Simplifies design and reduces bill of materials (BOM) by minimizing external components required on the platform. The Intel® System Studio integrated development environment is included with all Intel® microcontrollers. This maximizes investment of time and money by reusing software to scale up or down to any Intel® processor without additional costs.
